Character Background

Rei became a thief for her father. Just before he died, Rei promised her father that she would track down the five magic Bruce Lee statuettes that were stolen from him so many years ago. And in exchange for the clan’s help, she’s promised Lost Hog she’ll give him the statuettes once she’s found them.

Review

Unagi won’t be a staple for Fang Pi Clang decks but Rei sure will. She is Elya Cr but much better. Her 5/4 stats is less fragile than Elya Cr’s 3/5 against SOA and the fact that Rei power increase is not courage-based makes her absolutely better.

As always any 8 -power card deserves to be used and Rei is more than usable in my opinion is going to be a staple and again in my humble opinion she is Fang Pi Clang’s best three-star card right now. Enough said.

Unagi

Character Background

The venerable gong ringer of the Golden Mountain Monastery plays his cards close to his chest. Although he may look like a feeble old man, he is in fact a fearsome fighter capable of hospitalizing any of the Fang Pi Clang students.

Review

He is not Marlysa Cr and he wouldn’t he help Fang Pi Clang users out there to stop using two-star versions of Xia Leming or Windy Mor. So what exactly is he? Well if Sakazuki is a two-star with inconsistent damage then Unagi is a two-star with inconsistent power.

The 4/4 stats won’t warrant him any use and having an ability to have equal power with an opponent without anyway to get either a power or attack advantage doesn’t help him at all. His only upside is that he can also have equal attack with his opponent and cause of the current equal attack rule in non-random rooms he could possibly be a blessing which can take half of your opponents life.

Not dependable but at least he makes Python look worse than ever.
