Shayna

Character Background
Stung by a radioactive jelly fish while out surfing, Shayna was knocked unconscious and sunk to the bottom of the sea. While drifting in and out of consciousness, she heard a voice telling her that she now had super powers and must defend the oceans of the entire world. Then she lost consciousness completely before coming to again on the beach. Surely it was all just a dream…

Currently 14 is the highest power a card could have and it was first achieved by Willy but he isn’t the only who could reach such high power, now that Shayna has arrived.
As a four star her 6/5 body alone wouldn’t impress anyone but if you add both her bonus and ability she suddenly becomes an 11/5 and if you have Ambre as well she becomes a 14-power monster that no one would even try to block. Since they banned Wee Lee, Ulu Watu has been crippled in the 4-star slot, and even with Shayna’s arrival that wouldn’t change. This is because of her low damage for a 4-star which gives Buck a slight advantage over her.
Overall she is an interesting card to play with and a difficult card to play against luckily she isn’t at the same level as Kolos who could kill you in an instant but because of her possible high power player might be afraid to use pills against her and might just let her deal some free damage which cant be ignorable if you have damage reducers or if you can afford to lose some life.

Kirk

Character Background
As an obese teenager, Kirk was too big for just one surf board, so he taught himself how to surf on two boards and in doing so developed a technique all of his own. Years later and back to a normal weight, he still surfs the waves on two boards…

Finally we see an original idea and this one is really good. Kirk is just 3-attack and 1 damage less than Gaia for a valuable ability to reduce damage. The sad thing is that he is in a clan that already has a crowded 3-star slot, which means you would really need a good reason to use him instead of the current staple combination of Gaia and Nanook.
Nevertheless he is a great card that is a solid alternative to what you are already using in your Ulu Watu decks, if you want more damage reduction look no further Kirk is a solid choice.
