Arno

Character Background
Although he’s still little, Arno often helps out his parents in their small pet store in the heart of Clint City, and because he loves animals and hates anyone who harms them, Arno (accompanied by Pistachio his little monkey) helps out the Roots by secretly plundering the store’s supplies of animal food and medication.

This little guy is meant to put Jeena out of business. And he is simply better. The 4/4 body and ability to reduce damage by 3 with minimum of 2 might not be enough but cause he is also a Roots like Jeena there are not that many cards out there that won’t have their damage reduced.
Arno is a defensive 2-star that is meant to absorb damage and he is good at doing that.

Lou

Character Background
Abandoned by her parents in the heart of the Northern Mountains, Lou was found and brought up by a fearsome she-wolf named Lupila. But since the age of 12 and in spite of Lupila’s teachings, Lou has been determined to defend sheep and has done all she can to Rescue them from the grumbling tummies of her hairy brothers and sisters.

The Roots is one of the most dominant forces in ELO right now. Shakra is currently their main 5-star card with SOA and a courage-based SOB, he is almost unstoppable when attacking but what the clan lacks is a decent replacement if ever the ban hammer hits Shakra. Currently the only legal options for them are Armand and Kiki. Armand is just too boring while Kiki is weak against clans with SOA as a bonus. Then enter Lou.
Lou is almost exactly like GHEIST’s XU52. They have the same stats and the only difference between them is how their ability works. XU52 is able to decrease his opponent’s attack by 8 while Lou can increases her attack by 8 instead. I won’t go far beyond that cause we are not here to compare Lou and XU52.
For me she isn’t better than Shakra but at least the clan gets a good alternative and possibly a replacement especially if the Roots will only lose Shakra. On the other hand her high damage solve Roots problem of not having enough damage to consistently do 2-hit K.O., which is a plus for her.
Overall she is a great addition and a card that would see use in and out of ELO.

Rico

Character Background
Anywhere more than five people are gathered, Rico turns up with his moneybox and his scare tactics, "just a little something to save the city". He’s not particularly good at it but he doesn’t give up and in the end he always manages to collect a bit of money, or at least enough to keep the clan going.

The last new recruit this week is Roots fund collector, Rico. Unlike his clan mate Jeena, he has better stats and an ability that helps him. With this in mind, I believe that Rico would have an easier time fitting into decks than Jeena,
7/4 for a three-star is great combine with an ability to reduce an opponents attack made him more complete. With his arrival Narendra just found himself jobless. He is a toned-down version of Ratanah that fits perfectly for Roots, which might just be better cause of the one less star.
Rico isn’t game breaking but nevertheless he is a great addition to Roots, he is a mini-Ratanah, which make him very usable in both ELO and Type 1.

Jeena

Character Background
To help Jeena enter into harmony with Mother Nature, NDololo Cr cast a very special spell. As a result, Jeena now mistakes Clint City for the Jungle and spends the whole day walking round half naked. Actually it’s not such a bad little spell after all…
Review
On the other side of town, the Roots are also happy to welcome the jungle girl, Jeena. Uranus is a great card but Jeena fall short compare to the bald one.
This jungle girl is a 5/5 three-star that can reduce damage by 4 minimum of 2. She is decent but compare to other three-star damage reducer she lack both power and an attack modifier which made her worse than Yookie in some situation. Sure the 5 damage hurts but her 5 power brings her down, and the lack of an attack modifier makes bluffing with her difficult. So does that mean she is a bad card? Sort of but the fact that she gain her ability at two-star will mean that she is a good un-evolved card. 4/2 for a two-star is below average but you would never used her to attack anyway; she works better as a utility card. The jungle girl sure hurt your decks offense but she can help you stall.
Jeena is a decent damage reducer that lacks any offensive use; her only saving grace is she is usable as a two-star. My take on her is that she is more valuable both in your deck and at the market un-evolved.
