Louise

Character Background

Bouncer at the Pink Bar, Louise is always the first to step forward when the clan is in need of a hand. Whether it’s to stand guard on a secret meeting, sort out a macho repeat offender or to ensure a good atmosphere at a fancy dress party.

Let’s take a look at what Pussycats has to offer for 5-star. They have Charlie, Clara and Emma. Among them Charlie is currently the best for she can be used un-evolved and still be as strong as if she is fully evolved.  Clara comes second because she has SOB. While Emma who’s not a bad card at all is just outclassed by her much better sisters. And this week they added one more card for Pussycats’ 5-star slot the fat bouncer, Louise.

So where does Louise fit in? First she has potential to be a 9/7 monster which isn’t bad at all and the fact that she can also reduced damage means she can be a good bluff as well. But against cards with SOA her power suddenly drop to 6 which still is good enough but what prevents her from being used is the fact that Pussycats usually don’t use fully evolved 5-star cards. So just like Betty unless UR would use the ban hammer on Pussycats, Louise might not be able to see the light of day.

Honestly I like Louise more than Betty and it would be sad if this huge monster cat won’t be unleashed just because she doesn’t fit the play style of her clan.

Betty

Character Background

The boss of the Pink Club – the only bar in town where men are refused entry – is an unconditional supporter of the Pussycats’ cause. Not only does she provide the clan’s girls with a place to meet up, but twice a month she also organizes special party nights aimed at generating funds for the clan.

Review

Betty with her 7/2 stats and ability to gain you 2 life points looks good in theory but looking at the fact that Pussycats are good in ELO right now because their key cards can be played un-evolved, makes her look bad.

Pussycats have high power 1-star cards namely Gwen and Wanda, which may lack damage but are mainly used as walls and damage reducers. And their main threats namely Charlie and Yayoi can also be used un-evolved and just sacrificing some damage. To conclude Pussycats are used in half-decks to provide support and flexibility to the other half of your deck. So where would Betty fit in such a scenario?

Putting all those things into consideration does the clan needs a decent 3-stars? Pussycats has no good 3-star but they offset that by either ignoring that slot completely or using Yayoi at 3-star. Unless there will be some banning soon I don’t see Betty as anything more than a cheap alternative if you can’t maintain a 3-star Yayoi for your deck.
