Maamoon

Character Background

Lead dancer of the Clint City opera, one day Maamoon disappears without a trace only to reappear several months later perched on the highest trapeze of the Freaks’ circus. As she refuses to speak or come down, no one knows what exactly happened to her. But not being one to worry about such things, Boris seizes the opportunity and adds the mysterious Maamoon to the circus’ list of attractions.

Review

Looking at the current trend for 4-star SOB they can either have 6/6 or 7/5 bodies. Maamon following the trend falls under the 6/6 versions, which allows her take half of your opponent’s life points away. While the lack of attack/power modifier to take advantage of her SOB could have been remedied if she was given a 7/5 body instead.

She is more similar to Gertrud than Baby Q in term of use for she is solely a nuke But at least Freaks gets another SOB other than Graziella that would be able to help them against clan with SOB as bonus.

Cassandra

Character Background

As a result of spending her days surrounded by big cats, Cassandra, the Freaks’ lion tamer, is starting to develop strange habits. She’ll only eat raw meat, bares her teeth when she’s angry and her nails are like real claws.

Review

Freaks cards are given nice stats and abilities to offset their not so good bonus and Cassandra is no exception. She has exactly the same stats as Dorian but unlike the guy she copied she doesn’t have the attack-reducing bonus that could have help her dominate opponents. But at least she isn’t as predictable as Erpeto.

Imagine if she get through and deal her full damage with her bonus on the first round, you could just relax on the next round and you just need to deal 3 more damage on the third round to finish the game, Olga is a good candidate in this situation.

If you don’t have Splata Cr then she is your best bet for a Freaks 5-star card.
